Elder Board Hello Questers! Did you know Quest Church has an Elder Board? As a growing church, we have charged the congregation to elect leaders from within the church who feel called to serve, exhibit spiritual maturity, are an active and engaged in the Quest community, and live lives shaped by the Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons in 1 Timothy chapter 3. These leaders meet regularly to make decisions on behalf of the church regarding staffing, pastoral care, buildings and grounds issues, the life and health of the church, financial matters, and administrative concerns. They are also available to hear concerns from anyone in the congregation; for prayer and support they can be reached via email at elders@seattlequest.org
Currently, Eugene Cho, Leah McCann Klug, DeAnza Spaulding, Tim Sneath, Barbara Lundquist and Ray Bartel are serving the church in an eldership capacity. Barbara Lundquist and Ray Bartel are in the process of affirming their life calling to the Elder Board. At this time, the eldership has enthusiastically approved Barbara to be presented to the church community for a vote of affirmation. We ask that all who consider Quest their home church take a moment to review Barbara's life and faith story, and remind members that, per our constitution, they will be called to vote on her approval to the EB.
Barbara will be present for an innerview at all three services on July 6th so the congregation can get to know a bit of her story. She will also be present at the fellowship times after service, to answer questions and chat with those who would like to get to know her better. There will be a congregational vote of affirmation on July 13th, all members are asked to vote. Voting will be available at each service. Please take a moment to review Barbara's Elder Board application here.
